new belts, steeel sqeaking...
So one day i decided to redline the car and after then i had a squeak from my belts. I did the worse thing and i put wd-40 on the belts as well as some fogging oil ect..
I had the squeak for about 2 days non stop untill i tightened the alternator belt, then it was almost gone.
It just started to squeak during start uup for about 3-5 seconds and then doesn't until i start the car again.
I replaced both alternator and power steering belts with Goodyear Gator belts and when i first started the car.... nothing. No noise. After 2 more start ups i started getting some more noise. 1 second.
This morning i start it up and its just as it was before changing the belts. I did notice that they did stretch a little and that could be the problem.
How long do these belts stretch for?
What else can be the problem?
My friend said the reason i get squeaks at start up is because of the power transfer from the battery to the alternator..

The bolt under your alternator that lifts that alternator up, giving the belt less "give" is what's making it squeel. Try tightening that bolt down again and see if the squeeling stops. If indeed it does, red-loctite.
readjusted everything, especially the alternator belt harder and no more sqeek. That bolt is also suppose to be on my power steering but its not so i have to get it from a junkyard and then also re tighten power steering belt again.
