Default ABS question on running different tire sizes

I will be running a 215/45R16 in the front and a 215/40R16 in the back (I know, it should be the other way around, but the 45 tire is Azenis and the 40 tire is Craptinentals). I'm too poor to afford 2 more Azenis, so this is the setup I'll run. I have yet to autox it in this configuation. Cruising around the highway like this, the car had no probs. I'm concerned though that when I kick in ABS at the next autox, that the the tire sizes (1.075 difference in radius) will confuse the ABS, and it will shut down. You guys think this will be ok or will I have problems?

how big is the difference in outside diameters? (I'm too lazy right now to calculate it myself right now)..

I think it's probably a suboptimal setup, but I'm not aware of anything in it that will shut down ABS.. if someone else is, I'd like to hear about it...

nah, no prob. at all. your abs system is just a 4 channel setup that monitors wheel speed, but in a digital manner. ie; if the tire is still rolling, abs doesn't care how fast it's going, but as soon as it locks, then abs kicks in. it also doesn't care how fast any of the other wheels are going, because each sensor is just worried about keeping its tire from locking. at least that's how the theory goes.

I know, VERY suboptimal. But if I was running an "optimal" setup, I'd be autoxing a Z06!!!! The woes of brokedom.

So as long as the wheels is spinning, even at a much different rate than the others, the ABS comp doesn't care? Are most Hondas "true" 4 channel systems?

i am not sure if it's the right thing to say under this topic

but my friend, a mechanic in hong kong, he said your brakes work better WITHOUT ABS

I am not sure how you can remove ABS, probably just a line??

but yeah.. i think he is right, and I have tried his car, it did make a difference

Uhhh, yeah......ABS doesnt affect how the brakes work. From initial application to just before lockup, an ABS and non-ABS car will act exactly the same, assuming everything else is equal. But ABS is a good thing to have on a roadcourse, it really helps avoiding lockup on bumpy tracks.
