My civic just broke the passenger side axle and looks like from the hub. I can see the axles spinning and making the clunking noise from it when the car is running while in neutral. Now heres the dilemma that i am having and not sure, since i never experience a broken axle before. When the car is running and in neutral...I could shift into all gears without pressing down the clutch. When it goes into any of those gears....I've notice that the RPM jumps up and down from 1-2k rpm.

So did my tranny went out as well along with my broken axle? Could it be that my clutch went out?

Car is a 97 Civic coupe w/JDM B18C hydro lsd tranny.

so the car won't move when u put it in gear and take your foot off the clutch? if thats the case then its either the clutch or the final drive.
