88 DX bottom end, 94 DX head= which timing belt?

Any ideas? the 88 gets super tight with the 94 head, i think i may need the 94 belt. Anyone done this before?

so your putting a d15b7 head on a d15b2 block?

i think you will need a b7 belt

 

There shouldn't be any difference. Try messing with the belt tensioner

 

ill try it, i have the timing on , but cant get the car to start, its getting fuel and spark , but when i can get it to finally catch and turn over, it will stayon but idle at 200 rpm and wont stay on , any ideas??

 

Double check your timing. You have any cels?
