both are JDM clusters?? one has the exhaust temp icon... the other doesnt. also the icons in the upper right corner of it... why is that??

this was on ebay for $177 .. is the reason because of different years, or are they fake JDM's??

All i know is that newer (98+) usdm clusters have the ABS icon at the top right while the older integras have them at the bottom right.

I'm not sure about the exhaust temperature one, the spoon cluster has that also...how does that work?

 

there is a slight difference in the cluster arrangement between the 96 and 98 specs...

Are you sure it's a exhaust temp icon? It could be a cat icon for OBD2 or something.... Why bother buying an JDM cluster? Get an Euro cluster instead. Everything is the same except that the speedo goes to 270 km/h!!!

It's the cat conv light. 96 spec doesn't have it. 98 spec does.

 

Yip its the cat over temp light. I'm pretty sure 96's do have it, I'll check when I go home.

thats the cat temp warning light, its in the same place as on my 1994 JDM SiVTEC cluster and also my JDM ITR (97) cluster (which replaced my Si one)

 

I have a 96 JDM ITR Cluster. Its identical to the one in the lower pic except mine doesnt have the SRS icon. It has the Cat temp icon sensor deal on the left side. I have been told on JDM cars it is lit until the cat heats up to optimum operating tempature. However i am not 100% on that one.

 

Looks fine to me, cept i thought the speedo goes to 220km/hr or something.. i dunno, can't really check either since the car ain't kept in the house i'm in at the moment.

I could be backwards then. I remember the 96 and 98 one having the light, one not.. I have a 19,000KM one sitting on my stove without the light so if anyone knows which year doesn't I'd like to know.. me thought 96 but me was wrong it seems

190KM/H max speed is correct though, remember JDM ECU's are speed limited to 118mph

 

yah.. i think thats the only downfall about JDM cluster.. it goes up to 190mp/h mph.. i love the euro/aust specs tho.. 220km/h..

 

Who really wants JDM clusters anyways... The speedo is for 190kph only. Why get JDM when you have one that works perfectly fine. The JDM speedo provides no performance enhancing ability over the USDM one so IMHO, it's pretty damn dumb to get one...

 

Nah, its for if the cat gets to hot. My 96 spec does have the light.
