Default 90si hatch distributor issues converting to run on hondata s300 ecu...posting for a freind

so hey my friend is a broke *** and has no internet so i'm posting this for him. he has a 90si hatch and we just converted to big turbo. the last step is getting it running on the hondata s300 ecu. Professional mechanic but not a big Honda guy so bear with me.

our problem is this, i guess during the conversion he has to change distributors in order to convert to obd1 i believe. he said everyone told him that you just put the distributor in and only bolt it in with one or two bolts instead of all three. we have tried it in multiple positions and cannot get it to line up right with the engine at 18 degrees btdc on cylinder 1. does anyone have a picture of the right way to install the distributor or have a link to a writeup on a similar build?

somewhat new to tuning on hondata as well. he has 440 cc injectors, would it be o.k. to initially get him running on the hondata d16a1 stock tuned map? i just wanna get it running on the hondata before we worry about getting into boost.

also ecu was professionally socketed so i'm pretty sure its not an issue with the ecu.
