i have a 88crx w/a crx si engine swap and today i decided 2 do a minime swap
head=d16y8 w/ stock si intake manifold because i couldn't get the y8 to work.
the car cranks but no start. The first big issue here is that im missing the timing belt cover on the head where its suppose to line up the cam gear. Is there another way to align the cam gear?
I have an aem cam gear on it and don't know which side is suppose to be up. theres four lines and one of the lines have the degrees listed on it.
As of right now i kinda guessed on the cam gear and the car cranks but will not turn over. so for sure its gotta be the timeing so any help will work. thx

it has a arrow on the spot where it needs to be top dead center i believe...i would figure that there would be a mark on the head to match with the arrow...no to good with single cams but i would imagine its the same process as a b series
