offset question - 5 lug on ek/em1 - is this normal???

This is a 99 civic coupe with ITR 5 lug. Wheels are 15x7 with 205/50/15 tires. Offset is +45.
Does the offset change that much when doing a 5 lug swap that even +45 offset wheels do not fit within wheel arches? This is crazy... What offset do most people run? +50?
higher the number = close to the strut/shock, lower number = closer to the fender
rim width also has a lot to do with it, most people run 40-45mm offset bu with your ITR 5lug conversion the spindle sits closer to the fender

i understand what offset is. i just need confirmation that the 5lug is supposed to push the hub out that far like on my car.
When swapping over to the DC2 Type R hubs and spindles I know the wheel is not that pushed out of the fender wall, same goes for EK9 hubs and spindles. Now if you are using the 5lug adapters depending on the width of them then yes it is normal to have the wheel stick out that far. I don't know which one you have, whether the true hub spindle swap or just the adapter hubs, but if it is that way from swapping the whole hub, then that doesn't seem to normal to me. If you some other pictures at different angles perhaps I would be able to tell a little more.
