Any stock civics with alarms and kill switches stolen?
So I got a 97 civic dx non-vtec 5spd which is just a daily driver. I like that the DX gets 35+ mpg. I plan on keeping it 100% stock aside from a pioneer headunit, which I take out anyways. I've heard of stories of bone stock civics being stolen, but I didn't know if they had alarms or kill switches or not.
I am just wondering the odds of a bone stock civic with an alarm and a kill switch being stolen? Have any of you with stock civics (non vtec) had your car stolen, even with an alarm and/or a kill switch?

millions stolen with alarms, when they want your car they will get it. cars have been stolen from drive ways with 2-3 cars blocking them behind
regardless if your car is bone stock or not they will steal it. even with alarms. the thing with the kill switch is that people know how to deactivate it. even i can break into my own car.
NotAdelslow <--- anyone can break into their own car because they know how already lol, can't learn what you already know. but anyways, get an AutoLock for your car.
bullet proof, flame proof, saw proof and many more... ^_^ alarms are just to warn you. If you don't wake up in time at least your car is still there lol

Like they've already said, if they want it, they can get it.
BUT it is a deterent for thieves looking for more than just a joyride. Stock means less $$ in parts they can steal. An alarm also means time to disable it, which leads to time they can be spotted. It's definately a smart investment.

they tried to steal my civic but didnt even leave the apartment complex i live in.......only broke my ignition column.........didnt have an alarm or kill switch until after it happened. Havent had any problems since especially since if they do try i have a kill switch for my fuel pump hidden in the most random *** spot that no one would ever think of........
Yeah I was figuring that. It'll never be safe from thiefs, but if it's a bone stock non vtec, they won't be so determined to go through kill switches and alarms to get it. I just want my car there in the morning so I can go to work.
