Default LSD additive

Anyone tried Amsoil Slip-Lock differential additive for their clutch type LSD tranny? Does it really do what it claims?

Info can be found here: https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/ada.aspx

What you want for a clutch-type lsd is redline mtl and ford friction modifier. Proven to work well with those type of lsd's.

I think they're both the same, but different quantities. I think the first one is 4oz? Put a bottle's worth with the Redline MTL.

I was thinking of trying AMSOIL - Slip-Lockâ„¢ Differential Additive (ADA). It seems more popular with rear diffs in 4X4s.

I'm a tiny bit worried. You're using a Kaaz unit, or what?

Its a spoon 1.5way clutch type LSD. I'm going to put the Amsoil Slip Lock now. Fingers Crossed.

VIOLA! This fluid solved the problem totally! No more stuttering, clunking or noise. Emptied half the bottle (~2oz.) of it into my tranny. It shuddered on the first 2 or 3 extreme turns and then no more. Very satisfied with the outcome. I'm sure GM friction modifier or redline modifier works just as well, but for now Amsoil Slip Lock is the honey for my tranny.

Looks like we have another solution for those with clutch pack LSDs.

Did you mix it with Honda MTL or what tranny fluid did you use? I can't recall how much I purchased the Ford Friction modifier for back in the day because I bought it in a case of 12. But at $7.45 for the Amsoil stuff, it doesn't seem too pricey.

I'm quite sure this works with just about any MTL or tranny fluid. I am on Motul 75W140 which is some serious thick stuff. I would go for something thin for the B-series gearbox since that is the recommendation from Honda. Initially I was having problems and wanted to see if the 75W140 would work out. It seems the friction modifier was the answer.
