Default Disc brake conversion question

Okay, so I have a set of DC rear disc brakes, complete with trailing arms. I was told that in order for these to fit, I would have to change the main trailing arm bushings to DA type. I might as well just go with ES and do it, but my question is, can I just bypass this altogether and just change the hubs. Leave the trailing arms?

I WOULD NOT DO ES TRAILING ARM BUSHINGS. You need to do your research on this.

You can change the hub it can be a little bit of a P.I.T.A.
