Default Power Door Lock BRAND

Hey guys
I have bought a power door lock off ebay, i think around half year already
now the passenger's side actuator is WEAK, it doesn't have enough power to unlock/lock my door !!
IT SUCKS...

Anybody have any experience?? it's OMEGA, the brand is OMEGA

Anybody have one that lasted LONG time? What is the brand and where can I get it??

thanks!

The ones I'm using are DEI's. Seem to be working well so far. I've never heard of Omega though.

I'e never heard of Omega either. I got a JC Whitney kit to power my deadbolts for $70. They may sell the actuators alone, all you'd have to do is connect them to the existing wiring.

Just thinking out loud, an actuator is just a magent in a tube. There isn't much to fail or weaken. I might see if the linkage inside the door is binding or rubbing somewhere and making it just a little too difficult for the actuator to move.

i actually took off my door panel and let it just operate
i even lossen that rod so that it is not connecting to the lock
then i press the button, and it's still very weak.....
so i think it's not working well

I had some installed with my alarm (don't know what brand) and they work fine and all but I find them too stiff...
My friend even broke the latch while he was trying to unlock the door.
And I can't use the latch to lock the doors.

So I was thinking of getting the OE ones if I ever found myself with some extra money b/c they are softer
Are the OE ones no good???

Really?? I'll have to check my service manual again this weekend but it seemed like it fitted onto the latch mechanism not built-in...

In any case... is it just my actuators that are stiff or are all/most of the aftermarket ones stiff also??

PS. OE = OEM same thing.... I can't edit my post if it's making you uneasy.
