Default BC3+ Camshafts. Lost 15% power @ vtec

I've just installed in some buddy club spec 3+ in my car. but when vtec poppes in nothing realy happens.. my car pulls better without vtec

i've been to my tuning guy and he told me that i have to degree my cams..
right now we have removed like 15% fuel at the top from before when i used the original cams.

how about you? did you degree your cams? or is something else wrong?

if you got a dyno chart...post it up for us to see.

Though degreeing your cams as the tuner suggested is a good idea.

It sounds like one of your cams may be off by a full tooth.

Timing off? 6500 rpms on bcIII+?'s alittle high indeed. those cams usually like early 5.

before Honda OEM B16A2 camshafts..

but with these BC3+ we had to remove 15% of fuel in vtec but add about 10% before vtec. Something must be wrong?

running with crome same as before.

So you're running leaner after vtec x-over with bigger cams?

Before tuning i was running rich according to the A/F meter.. we had to remove fuel to make it run like it should. but when we remove fuel we remove effect right? its strange..

Changing cams from stock to a BC3 AND leaning out vtec and you can't feel it on the butt dyno even? Something's wrong.

you should stop making WOT pulls until you figure this out.

Did you install any other parts at the same time or just drop in a set of cams.

Did you change valve springs when you fitted the cams or are you still running the B16a ones ?

So you didn't perform a valve adjustment after you installed aftermarket cams?

Why didn't your tuner make adjustment to the cam gears? I don't know, like b19coupe said, your timing may be off by a tooth, cause when I installed my BC3's even before the tune the car pulled great both before and after vtec x-over, which was only set to 5900 rpm on my car.

If you tuned on the road, how do you know you lost 15% power?
