noob question
it's okay to run 87 octane in a 94 gsr right? just for daily usage, is that okay? i mean i know it'll be knocking like crazy but it's just to get from A-B. cause from what i heard oil is at $150 a barrel now, so tomorrows gas price well probably be around $4.75 gallon for premium(which would suck).
"Knocking like crazy" is not healthy for your motor, whether you're running the **** out of the motor or just getting from "point A to point B." Run fuel with the proper octane levels or sell the car to someone who can afford the proper gas before you destroy the car.

This has been covered over and over and over and over. If you GSR is stock, the knock sensor will prevent know by reducing the ignition timing when knocking is detected. This means that your power and fuel economy will suffer. The conclusion is that running 87 octane will make you car run like crap and not save you any money.
Think of it this way: 87 is $4.55/gal and 91 is $4.75/gal. The 87 costs 96% as much as the 91.
