Default 3rd brake light rear glass plugs and drilling question

what kinda shop would drill holes in rear glass for DC chassis and how and where would you find a rear glass plugs?

my 3rd brake light had BOTH WORKING BULBS in the first place but now only ONE bulb works because im guessing it kept falling out so much it musta broke a wire

(i drive gsr and 3rd brake is lodged in w/ cardboard peices all around)

its holding up nicely atm but if i keep opening and closing the trunk or going over too many bumps its gonna eventually fall out and i need to keep pushing it back in

id rather go w/ a permanent fix

so list shops i can call for quotes and find glass plugs

or a lot of ppl mentioned WINDOW ADHESIVE and rear view mirror glue might work but i aint sure

heres some pics

I have not used or tried these yet

behold the somewhat working cardboard lodging work

both lights USE to work NOW only 1 is
most likely cause is cuz it use to keep bouncing off and being held by the wire for a couple miles until i come to my destination to push it back in =\

also it looks nasty because that was from old doublesided tape w/ some m3 adhesive sprayed on it, needless to say those didnt work and i can't even get them off

What years did the GSR have a center light in the window? Every single one I have seen (including my 00 GSR) only had the spoiler light.

I would call a local glass shop (not an automotive glass shop) and ask them if they can drill tempered glass.

I personally chose just to mount a 20 LED light bar at the top of the hatch glass using silicone adhesive.

none, i bought one for going wingless/itr or any other spoiler w/o brake light

i thinking of a car related glass shop but why a normal glass shop oO? i'll start checking if it falls out over the weekend

your led is outside?

more feed back please i'd like to know if anyone has personal feedback on window adhesive or rear view mirror glue and how they did it. ie) put glue on and slide it in? i would think doing that would allow it to smear thru the glass like how mine currently looks

92-93 GSR's have no center brake in the tailgate glass either. Just the LED in the spoiler.
Just find a GSR spoiler in a jy and use it's LED center light. I believe the wiring is already inside your hatch.

No. It is inside of the hatch. It is concealed in the polka-dot section at the top, but quite visible when illuminated.

heh I took the LED out of my wing and stuck it in the rear glass, attached to the plastic trim with 3M foam emblem tape. That was 6 years ago and it's never moved a micron.

I believe alll gsr's came with the spoiler and light... but any LS' sold w\o a wing would have had the rear deck light

Try the 3m rear view mirror glue.

As for me, I was going to clean off my 3rd brake light before I tried to superglue it on, but I come back and I see it lodged on my hatch with all the white ****, what I tried before, all over it. My dad put it on there w/o even telling me and now it looks ugly as hell. The superglue is holding, but that is because I don't open/close my hatch.

To people who have succesfully stuck the light to the window, when you say it stays, can you actually close your hatch w/o it falling off??

Well it's not hanging from the glass. It's just sitting on top of the plastic hatch trim, with the tape between the LED bar and the plastic trim.

I used 3m double sided tape, and it fell off when I was driving.

you are supposed to put it straight to the window tho, not on the tint.
