Default lighting problem :(

so last night i installed my raybrigs on my 96 coupe. and well tonight as i went to turn them on, all of my interior lighting went out. fog lights went out. The amber background on my gauge cluster, the lighting on the climate control. BUT head lights work.. turn signals work.. even the little bulb on the gauge cluster work. What happened?

First try fuse #25 (7.5a) first, and then try the dimmer switch.

How, pray tell did you wire your foglights, and to what did you ground them?

Is it the harness that plugs into the two accessory ports on the fusebox or the one that plugs into the headlight switch?

I mean, usually when dash lights go out and fuses are fine, then the dimmer switch has gone bad.

unplug the dimmer switch, jumper the red and black wires together.
turn on your parklights (first position) if the dash lights come on full then the wiring is fine. Turn off the lights.
Remove jumper, plug back in the dimmer, check that dimmer is turned all the way up, turn on lights again, if dash lights remain off then the dimmer is bad.

have you checked all of the fuses? (underdash and underhood)

it sounds like you hooked something up wrong with the fog lights.

pull the connector from the dimmer (after pulling the dimmer out of the dash, it pulls right out)
take a paperclip and insert it into the red and black wire locations in the plug.
