where to straight pipe my car?please help
i want to straight pipe my ef but no shops will do it cus its illegal does anyone know where i could go to get it done..i live in san gabriel valley los angeles area
It is illegal to do that to a street driven car. Want it done? Toss it on a flatbed and tow it to the shop, tell em its a race car and they'll do it. Oh, also expect to fail your next smog test hardcore, and get slapped with a ticket if the cops find out, which is pretty much guaranteed once they smell you. Same if you get caught by a roadside smog detector. Do yourself, the environment, and everyone else a favor, and leave the catalytic converter on. Don't need any more smog in Los Angeles anyway.
U only lose like 2% of your HP due to the Cat. 2% of, I'm guessing here, 106 HP is like 2 HP. You'd notice a 10 pound weight reduction more. The catalytic converter flows so well its not a major restriction so dont bother unless it's melted down.
