Default LS VETC possible build

I just got a DC shell for free and i was thinking of putting a ls/vtec motor in but i have a couple of ??? and was wondering if some of you on here could help me out. First what are the best piston/rod setup to use if im looking to make about 230-250 whp? Also so what would be the best tranny? What kind of fuel setup is required?Also where is the best place to pick up some parts? it wont let me pm or post in the wtb or fs forums...

well i think your best shot would be after market rods and pistons. what are you planning to do with this 230-250whp beast? track it like everyone says they'll do, drag it, drive it on the street? there's a lot of options. boost? na? goog luck with the build

well this is going to be my everyday driver but i would like for it to have a bit of power.

Are you looking to make 230-250whp NA?? If so, i dont think anything on the stock bore is going to work...Even with ridiculously high compression on an 82mm bore (largest on stock sleeves), you'll still struggle to make more than 210-220whp. You should consider reading through the All Motor forum in order to get some ideas. Also, forced induction is a great alternative

buy a jdm gsr swap from hmotorsonline.com and youll have a nice dd.dont even mess around with ls vtec unless your planning on going allout.its not worth the headach in my opinion.and its gunna cost alot more in the long run.
