Yes, lots of people are using them, and they are indeed a good tire for autocross, as far as street tires go.

as far as street tires go.
That's the key. One of the top street tires to use for autocross. But still slower than the slowest DOT R tires.

A perfectly good street tire. Strong rain performance. Wear like iron. Soft sidewalls, and they like to slide. Not nearly as sticky as the Falkens. I'll probably have a set on my WRX at some point to use as street tires.

I used the Kumho 712s last year for autocross and the Azenis for autocross this year w/the Kumho 712s for daily driver now.

The Azenis stick alot more than the Kumhos and I can barely get my tires to squeal until they overheat. The Kumhos squealed all the time, but wore about 30K miles for me.

Just keep in mind that the Azenis will wear out probably 3 times sooner than the Kumho's... making them 3 times as expensive to run.

I'm getting sick of people saying this. I have 2 track days, 30-40 laps at the Carlisle Road course, 13-15 autocross this year (with 4-8 runs per event), and 5000 daily street driven miles and I still have LOADS/TONS of tread left.

I'm also running 0 toe all around, but with 1.5 degrees front and 2.2 degrees rear camber. I rotate the tires every other event front to back, and back criss-crossed to the fronts.

Would they stick as well as 3 year old Yokohama A008R's? I was told these tires were supposed to have been stored properly, but that is a long time. These are 195/60/14 tires that I got for $50 total, and would be replaced on the same rims with the Azenis of the same size. The A008R's seem to have a pretty soft sidewall for a road race tire. Any opinions? I would be willing to lose some ultimate grip for better roll resistance. TIA.
