Non Vtec Tri-y header?
Hello from Chile, my english is not very good.
I have a B18B with intake, header (2"), 2.25 test pipe, 2,5 custom exhaut, 404 cams, Performer X IM, P30 pistons, B16 tranny, etc.
Well, I want to upgrade my old Hp Racing header. But I don´t sure about wish header is the better for my setup.
(I have a 2,5" exhaust because in my country is very difficult to found a 2.25" exhaust)
What do you think about the Tri Y header for a non vtec??, is to much for my set up?? Or it would be better to stay with my 2-inch collector header? Or maybe buy a JDM ITR Header?
I have not found dynos of tri-y header in a B18B moded...
Thanks...

Hey, I actually have a setup similar to yours, (B20Z non-VTEC w/Crower 403’s and Performer X IM, I/H/E, Neptune, etc.)
From what I’ve gathered a 2.5-inch tri-y header would essentially be overkill on our setups, I’m just using a DC 4-2-1 header right now and if I upgrade it’ll be to a JDM 4-1 header.

I’m thinking it’s because of the length and diameter of the header piping? I’m honestly not sure, but I think especially for your 1.8L you may just want to stick with your current header as you may gain some power up top but you might end up sacrificing to much down low and in the mid range to make the cost and effort worthwhile.

Yea maybe the Tri-y is too big...
I remember a guy in the team integra forum with a Tri-y header in his B18B and it said it had improved performance in the midrange and high range. But without a dyno prove, only dyno butt...
