Default nosing a b16

How much can a stock b16 take of nos and still be reliable..

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I was thinking of going just 50-60 dry shot of nos.

I wont be using all the time, just here and there..

I had a jetta ran dry nos at 75 shot for a year and a half then took off, never had no problems but again this is no honda..

just turbo it at like 6-7psi, it will be very reliable if tuned right, about as reliable as n/a, plus you will always have the power

anybody with enough sense would never put nitrous on a stock b16. or any stock honda engine to that matter, but what do i know. to each his own right?

turbo at 7-8 lbs of boost would give me what, around 20-30 hp. I was told to turbo it, its better than supercharging the motor.

I just want it to last since it will be my daily driver, how much boost and what would I need to do to run more boost and be ok. How do I tune it?

stop now. dont even consider turbo for you will do nothing but take another b16 out of service when you blow it up. You need a lot more education before you try that, judging by your previous comments about boost. Just run a 35 wet shot and have some fun. I am sure there are many on here that run bigger shots than that, but they I am sure have more know how about tuning for nitrous than you an I. I have seen a bone stock b16 take two years of a wet 75 shot used probably 30 10lb bottles over 2.5 years and didnt hesitate a bit. would i do that, NO.

OP don't bother asking for help here, it looks like it's all done gone to other Honda tuner sites.

what is nos?

Vin is that you.

I thought the real world called it Nitrous.

I thought nos was new old stock.

Do yourself a favor leave the engine alone and learn to drive the car first before you want it to go faster.

sure as hell has. I can get better info on a crx off of nasioc then most of the threads of the past three months. and if there is a good thread it always ends up in a huge fight about something inane and worthless.

Its kind of sad when I was just asking for advise, instead I got people bored wanting to just write up anything, even if its something not even related to the topic...

See im the type of person if I can help someone I would. I guess there arent that many honest people left in this world

I guess the conclusion on this topic is each man his own, [freak] it I want to supercharger it just to damn costly. Will probably turbo it at a low psi...

thats not nice!!

i gave good advice man.

trust me i would not nos it, its cheap cause "you get what you pay for"

i garantee you will have much more fun with 7-8psi of boost, it should ad about 40-50 hp or so, and you will notice a pretty nice kick when it spools.

7-8 psi is closer to 60-80 hp depending on turbo size btw. on a b16 you could do 75 wet but i would lower maybe 50-60 make sure it is a wet shot. the biggest problem with N2Ois that people are dumb and run it too lean if you have lots of fuel in them mixture you can run 60 wet shot all day even in reverse. i would get a bigger fuel pump and a FPR and then tune it with a 60 shot. you will enjoy it. look at my sig

I did a dry 75 shot for about five months.
RC 440cc injectors.
Colder plugs
Hondate S300
Tuned at Erick's Racing.

The injectors added all the extra fuel that I needed and was dyno tuned. I beat the living **** out of it and it never actually "blew" up. I fried the rings, but that was expected from the beginning. If you want reliable, go smaller and tune.

It was fun and I did it because the B16 was gutless and I hated it.

Don't cut corners if you want "reliable"
