My previous car which was a 94 prelude have this same set up. OEM Brand new Honda clutch disk with a brand new ACT HD pressure plate. Well i just got this SAME exact set up for my 98 prelude and the clutch disk inner part seems to hit the pressure plate when i lay it in the pressure plate. I know for a fact this is not right. (no it is not installed in the car and running because i cant get pass this problem) HELP!!

It should work perfectly. That's what I'm currently running, but I have a JDM H22 though. The size and even splines are the same AFAIK....maybe there was an offset error during your installation

 

while on topic of clutch systems does everybodies release bearing make a screetching or squeaking noise when actuating the clutch? Or what is making that sound? I grease the pivot arm, and the sound subsides so I'm assuming its just the metal arm screetching as it pivots, but I think it could also be release bearing???

My shift arm does shudder/vibrate a bit while I push in the clutch.

I've been told multiple times its normal to hear that squeaking but could there be any other problems with the clutch that involve similar sound affects?

even today a 5th gen pulled up beside me and his clutch squeeked aswell, so it seems to be apparent with 4th And 5th gen preludes. Is this the case?
