I own a 1991 honda accord as a beated car with 100,000 miles on it. Today I was driving and I put on sport mode by mistake and turned it off, after I left where i was going I was driving on the highway and it came on and could not turn it off. It does not flash and sometime will be off when I first start the car. Could it be the switch not triggering it off or what could it be? It always shifted fine with no problems and never had any trouble. Now that its in sports mode it just never shift and used one gear but still can be doing 60 on the high way at 4k. Anything I can try/do to get it back to normal with out spending much money due to the fact its just a car I drive to work and around? thanks

 

Sport Mode is where you pick up all the ladies though.....

I'd see if the button is gummy or stuck. I haven't had any experience with it but would imagine it's something along those lines.
