alright i have a 97 civic LX with the stock motor...believe its the Y7? and i swapped out the normal intake manifold for a Y8 manifold and i went up to advanced autoparts to check what the CEL is and its as follows "p1509: Manf cntrl veh.spd. / Idle speed control / auxiliary inputs" any ideas guys? the idle goes from around 2-3 grand and when i hit the brake somtimes it stops... otherwise it runs just fine... help please

 

Sounds like you got a couple of plugs mixed up.

Check the plug for your idle control valve...

 

a buddy of mine and me were checking plugs and double checking vacuume hoses and stuff all plugs looked right...we compared it to his 96 DX that he swapped the stock mani for the Z6 mani and everything was pretty much the same. think a vacuum leak could cause both those problems?

 

or could the idle control sensor be fvcked?
