don't try it. It won't help much, instead you will get too much road noise.

P/S
A/C
Firewall mat
Tar
Spare/Jack
Just a suggestion, you might want to leave your removable roof at home but then again that's a risk you are taking on your own.
Lighter wheels
CF/Fiber glass hood
If you are a fat ***, go on a diet

The Possiblities are endless, EVEN with a del sol, just be creative!

you can take the frame that holds the top in the trunk out
remove the auxiliary lights if you have them and replace the bumper with a 97
take the "headliner" off of the top
replace that back window with some cheap lexan custom cut to fit (it's flat)

Check out Dave's car. It's pretty damn stripped.

If you wanna get real crazy, just start at the front, work you way back, and take out everything that you don't absolutely need.

The weight is a result of much needed chassis support because the thing lacks a real roof.

Other things to do depends on preference and if this is a daily driver. I also remove wheel well covers and the big black plastic peices below your front bumper like a mud flap guard I have a civic not sure a del sol has one. I don't daily drive my car when I I've gone on three + hour one way trips I use ear plugs for more ease on the ears. I had a great gutted hatch then I had to go and do rear disc brakes and a roll bar.
