My Greddy SP crapped out on me again.
My muffler rusted out after less than 3 years.
I had a new resonator welded in last year on the b-pipe. Will I a Spoon N1 bolt to my old greddy 60mm piping? Or do I need a new B-pipe? Or flanges?
What are the GSR/ITR exhaust differences?
I tried to do a Search.

hahah the same thing happened to me.. I think my resonator rusted out in about a year and a 1/2 (maybe it reached full 2 yrs.. not sure).. I had it cut and welded in a new one.. then about a year later.. my rear section(muffler) started blowing composite cubes/fiberglass.. at first I didn't know what the hell it was all over my garage floor.. I was like hmm looks like cotton ***** but their kinda like cubes... I started seeing more and more and my exhaust got louder... then when I looked inside the tip.. I noticed the insides had rusted out and when u shook it.. it would make clunk noise.. like sumthing inside was loose/broken..
anyway if your piping is still good.. you can probably just have a shop chop off the muffler portion and weld on a muffler like a universal Apexi N1? or try to find a axle back that will bolt onto the Greddy piping I guess...

If you don't want to replace your muffler yet and want a ghetto solution to your rusted muffler, you can do this. When the muffler on my sister's Sp rusted out, it started to blow cotton cubes out at first, then about two weeks later, it started to make a rattling sound. I removed the muffler and when I looked inside I noticed the baffle tube has gotten loose and was rolling around inside. Took a metal coat hanger and fished it out. Put the muffler back on and the sound was about the same as before to be honest with you. I'm not sure if there were any power loss from not having a baffle tube. Heres a pic of what I took out.
hahah thats the exact same thing that happened to my Greddy SP.. it started blowing composite/fiberglass cubes and at first I couldnt figure out what those cubed, cotton ball looking things were in my garge floor... mine made that rattling sound and the inside tube had broken loose also... I guess this is common on the SP's

damn this doesn't make me feel too comfortable with the used SP I bought. It sounds fine now although a bit raspy over 5k rpm. During normal driving and highway cruising it's fine. Deeper than stock and relatively quiet but at WOT it is definietly noticeable. I'll prolly get a comptech or another SP after this one dies on me.
My old SP died out on me too, same way. It did manage to last arouned 3-4 years though, and the resonator is still sorta holding up well.
On that thought, no more Greddy exhausts for me again

damn my SP will be 4 years old in december, no rust whatsoever and still sounds as good as the day i bought it....but then again maybe once every 3 months ill put some bombardier lube on the piping and ****. and clean up the underside of my car....
is this with sp only or the evo series as well?
