97 DX Hatch - Theft recovery Good track car.
Shoot me offers. It's be declared a total loss, and it's going to be my last Honda. Wasn't a big deal that the parts were stolen, insurance is covering everything, and I'll actually make a little money on it, but it's left an awfully bad taste in my mouth. I don't want to lose sleep over it, wondering if it's still outside every night.
I have the stock parts to go back in, so it will run and drive perfectly fine. EX tranny installed on it.
As it sits in the impound lot at the moment:

Price: lets say $1750 and see where we go. Open to offers. I can track down stock seats and steelies with tires on them, you'd just need to be there to pick it up and put them on, or make arrangements to have it picked up.

ok, so here's the answers to the questions I've been getting.
It needs wheels and seats, aside from that, it's good to go. As I haven't driven it since it was stolen, I can't speak 100% to the rest of the condition. But when I last drove it, it was tip top. Still a risk though, as I can't confirm that it didn't get the **** beaten out of it. But engine, tranny, suspension, etc. are there. No body damage, it wasn't in an accident just stripped.
Title will be salvage, as it will be declared a total loss.
I don't have a price yet, as I don't know what the buyback price will be, or if I'll be allowed to buy it back at all. as soon as I know, I'll update the initial post. At this point I'm just trying to make sure there's interest in the car at all, I don't want to buy it back just to end up with a shell I can't use in my driveway.

youre always allowed to buy your car back. if they dont give you the option, they are simply leaving it out. you should buy it back, make it drivable and sell it yourself.
Heard today, the buyback isn't cheap as there's demand for the car and they've already gotten salvage bids on it.
$1750 will get you the working vehicle, stock seats and steelies with rims on it. You'd need to make arrangements to get it.
