Bad wheel stud, okay to run 3 lugs?
my friends integra snapped a wheel stud, and he called a local shop and they told us its NOT safe to drive as such. but i agree with Tzarinque, short trips shouldnt do much. especially if your not at home and you dont feel like payin to tow it to a shop (like we did =/ )

I wouldn't drive the car, but if I absolutely had to maybe a few blocks and I would take back streets. Better safe than sorry.

what, so when you go off the road nobody finds you for a long time and you dont get help?
haha, no really tho OP, the longest i'd drive it, is to a local shop and get it fixed. its okay, but its far from safe. no reason to take a small expense and turn it into a large expense.

I don't know where you live but I live in the city, there aren't any untraveled streets for at least 15 square miles. I can travel a two miles down a side road before I hit an autoparts store. Why would I do this? Well, if I took a main road and the tire fell off there is a higher probability of the tire doing more damage.

well i threw caution to the wind. i had 3 on the front left on my turbo civic nothing happened, and i would bring her up to like i dunno 120 on 17in wheels....not saying it was a brilliant idea but its just my experience. that went on for a few months and i finally picked up a set of ARP wheel studs (tough little guys) and new rotors.

Being lazy could end up costing you a lot of money. If the tire does fall off it could cause a big accident. How long is a while? How fast have you been going? You can change the lug yourself, its an easy job.

There are no words. You have been taking a huge risk. Even at 50mph, if that wheel would have fallen off it would have done a lot of damage if it hit other vehicles, building, or pedestrians. I'm sorry but this is just lack of responsibility.

Guilty.

Turns out 2 of my studs are bad.. I had to drive about 5 miles to my house on 2 studs. I was scared shitless. Getting fixed ASAP tomorrow. Could I have damaged anything? I was driving slow.
I broke one on my rear drivers side, and I drove my Hatch from Wichita, Kansas to my house in Kansas City, Missouri, down to Houston, Texas and back. No problems ever, but I bet in the front it's alot worse, eventually I changed it out. lol.
i did it once, only long enough to fix it.. i dont recommend it, just cause some people have and been safe doesnt mean you will.
I drove mine 30 mins home on 3.... I was freaking out the whole time. I have a friend with a supercharged single cam, bagged on 18s with 3 studs for over a year. Never a problem.... I dont have that kinda faith though
Na its not too bad ..... but now you have a second bad one... id be thingking about changing all of the fronts period. And next time watch who ever is doing your tires that they are not cranking the **** out of them when they put your wheels back on.
I have a friend with a 1994 Prelude S, and he has been running with 3 studs on his LF for almost a year. He lives in Chicago and goes to school in Champaign/Urbana (Univ. of Illinois). He drives just the same as if he had 4. I personally would only be worried if I had two bad studs on the same wheel.
