Whats your short time on a 10 second pass?
soooo, on the 14th of this month, its our big import race at the local track...i want to put on a good showing and see if i can nail a 10.99 or quicker....problem is i dont have a cage, and really dont want to put one in at this moment (car is a 4dr and i still haul my kids in it on a regular basis)
ive ran the times in my sig on 15psi, and pump gas....for the big race i want to turn it up to 25psi and race gas....make 3-4 1/8 mile runs before i let loose for 1 pass. i want to make it count
my question is...what kind of 330, 1000, 1/8, and 1/8mph times should i be looking for to ensure the car is in route to a 10second pass??? im talking high 10's here...10.7-10.99 is where im guessing i will be. (any questions on my setup see my sig please)

i would be really interested in the rest of your pass if you had that info
i have been cutting 1.70-1.72 60's pretty consitantly in my heavy *** integra sedan lol its the rest of the increments that im worried about
ive been told to multiply my 1/8 mile times by 1.52 to figure 1/4 mile time.....any truth to that in a fwd car?

thats pretty much what mine looks like, except i pull 1.61 60's and run 138 usually at a 10.7

yea i know, i got kicked last year with my sohc civic for going under 11.49.
this time i want to make sure the car will go 10's and get booted lol...if i pull a 10 out of it, i might have to save up some cash to have a custom steathy-ish cage put in it.

yea just from the people in this thread, the 1.52 number seems to be pretty dang accurate. i just looked over some of my old time slips and it seems my car tends to follow suit.
so at least i will be able to figure out how well the car is running before i let it rip for one pass lol

id say if you can get a 7.2 or better in the 1/8 and faster than 100mph youre in! that is if everything up top is good...
but some tracks will look at your 1/8mile time to see if you need a cage...i think the limit is 7.49 or faster?? not too sure on that one..
