Default Will gasoline harm the rear defrosters?

Just bought my 2nd Accord and I need to take some stupid stickers someone stuck on the back window where the defrosters are. I obviously can not scrape it off because it will damage the defrosters, so im thinking of soaking a rag with gasoline and pressing it on it so I can easily take it off.

But will gasoline harm the defrosters?

I vote for Goo Gone as well. Great stuff. This shouldnt harm your defrosters unless they are stuck to the back of the stickers and actually rip the defroster line when you are taking it off. The defroster lines are little strips of metal.

I would also recommend heating it up. If you have a heat gun, that'd be great, just dont over heat it. If you dont, try a hair dryer, and heat it up for a good lil while. You could also hope that the sun is out and try to get the car hot with the sun, as well as the hair dryer. If you do this good enough, it should soften/melt the glue a little so that it does not stick to the defroster line and rip them when you are taking it off.

Good suggestions above I agree with the Goo Gone as well, I have used citrus-based cleaners in the past and they work well with removing adhesive, but I've never used them on a car equipped with a functional defroster so I don't know about that.

Make sure that when you pull the stickers, that you pull them at a 90* angle from the surface of the glass and defroster, I'd also go really really slow when pulling them off too.

Good luck!
