94-96 console in 93 prelude
I have been searching around and everything I read says that you have to extend the cables for the ebrake. My question is: Could you just use the cables from the donor car instead or are they not long enough either? I didn't want to waste my time pulling the cables if it wouldn't work. I know I'm going to have to weld the ebrake handle in place, that is not a problem, but I'm not real keen on the idea of extending the cables, it just seems kinda sketch.
I just extended mine and it works great. You are not cutting and extending the ebrake wire, you are putting a turnbuckle on the original, the turnbuckle is stronger than that stock ebrake cable, nothing sketchy about it. I didnt weld mine in either and trust me my ebrake handle will break before the bolts let go.
I like the rear compartment on the old model, has anyone incorporated that with the newer front console.... i would like to use the storage especially since it is secure?
p.s. i have an extra newer leather console for sale, see sign
