while trying to install my AEM cold air intake on my 98 LS, theres this black plastic tube like looking thing blocking the space where my cold air sinks down, what is it? and how do i take it off? anyone know?

its black, oval looking and not sure what it connects to looks like just the frame or something

help please

my guess was it was something from the stock intake box maybe? not sure lol

Its a resonator for your intake. You need to remove that also. That one is a bit tricky to remove as you will need to remove your fender liner to access the bolts that hold it in.
