Default ls vtec oil / water pump question

I did search,

but I did not find any answers.

Q: Is it true that a oil pump from a DOHC VTEC will spin too fast for an LS vtec setup? Do the oil ports on the LS block need to be machined open alittle bit?

Will the pump cavitate from spinning too fast?

I have a new LS water pump and oil pump. Should I just buy a new water / oil pump from a type r? If I dont change the water pump oil pump, will it be detrimental to my engine if I keep the LS oil/water pump?

SETUP
I will be revving to 8200 with a tune on a hondata with pr3 pistons (11.8-12.0cr)
bone stock JDM b16 10.4cr head.

thanks
brian
