Do I need to retune my chipped P28 if I add a Catylitic convertor to my straight pipe?

yes, any changes to the way the motor breathes will effect a/f ratio and turbo spool. especially a cat
I would throw a wideband on it and make sure everything is okay. It shouldn't change things that much, but better safe than sorry.

Thanks for replies
By the way I want to use a High Flow cat and mainly just want it to quiet things down.

Just wanted to note that I have a super charger, and not a turbo.
Does anyone know if a highflow cat would effect airflow much as far as tuning goes, and if so what cat would be the least restrictive? I only want to put the cat on to quiet my ride down. I thought of using an extra resonator, but they are fat and I'm not sure if I will have clearence issues, or if they will quiet things down as much as a cat would.
Knowledge masters please advise!!

A Carsound cat works very well, and considering you're only 6 psi, shouldn't effect it that much.
Also, you may consider simply adding a resonator. That would be even less restrictive than a high-flow Cat.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into that.
If I can fit a resonator then I might go that route.
Cheers!!

If you dont have emissions to deal with, you may want to even put two resonators on it. My last 3" exhaust I made was catless with 2 cheap summit resonators. It sounded very nice, although it was helped by the turbo as well.
As mentioned, it will change AFR's, but by how much I can't say. Speed-density (MAP sensor) ems's will not alter the open-loop/WOT fuel maps, and virtually any changed part will result in AFR differences.

Yeah I've played with the idea of getting another resonator, but I don't think there is room for a big one. I don't think a small one would make much difference, but maybe. It's definately cheaper though. I'll just try it and let you guys know what happens.
Peace out 4 now!!
