1996 civic coupe replace stereo
Hi everyone - I need to replace the car stereo in a 1996 civic coupe. The current stereo may be the factory stereo. How hard is it to get this dashboard apart? What guide might be good for illustrating the dashboard? And also speakers if I decide to replace them as well? Will I need an additional faceplate thing if I install a plain, typical rectangle shape stereo? Who sells these, and what is it called?
I do some basic do-it-yourself stuff on cars (tune-ups, trans filter change, things like that), and I have replaced one car stereo - that was in my 1990 corolla, and that dash is pretty easy to take apart. On this Civic, I don't see where to start disassembling it.
THANKS! -Row1

Many websites such as the one above, have excellent application specific instructions. And Crutchfield (although they are sometimes expensive) has an INCREDIBLE install help hotline. They know everything.
wow that is awesome. nice pdf of the car, and the radio. plus, with its note about the radio connection with this car's keyless entry, we now know why turning the radio on or off [i can't remember which] will sometimes make the auto locks click.
