All four windows will frequently, but not always, open after ignition is off and I have left the vehicle. Time varies as to when it happens as does how far the windows open. They all open the same amount, however. Vehicle is a 2002 Accord EX. Any ideas? Short in driver's side switch module? Short in wiring? It doesn't happen when the vehicle is running.

 

This is a function of the remote to open the windows for venting hot air from the car.
Perhaps the key button is being pressed by accident?
I do believe the function is controlled thru the drivers side multiplex unit.

ok, i got that out of my system. I think maybe you need to reset the computer in the car. Try that. It might be the simplest way to see if you can fix the issue. Disconnect the negative terminal, then get in the car, push the brake pedal for about 5 seconds to drain all the juice. Wait another 3 or 4 minutes for ***** and giggles and re-connect the negative terminal. See if that works.
