So my mom started driving my old civic that had been sitting around for a while, and about a week or so after she started driving it the battery light started to flicker on and off while she was driving it. I tested to see if the alternator is charging and it is, the only other thing that I can think of is the battery itself.
When I drove it it only flickers randomly for a little while then stops. Any ideas?

take off the battery posts clean them up and make sure there tight if that dosent fix it get another battery

 

also baking soda and water works great for this if you dont own a wire brush
