Default Help With OBD2 Ls Swap

Ok i have a obd2 ls, and i am going to put it in my 91 std hatch. I just want to kno if i got everything for this swap. I got Innovative mounts for a cable tranny, and i got a b16 cable tranny. I am getting a hasport shift linkage. Getting all my wireing from rywire, i am getting the obd1 2 obd0 dizzy, and obd0 to obd1 ecu harness, and i will send my engine harness to rywire so they can do all this stuff to the wires. I got a obd1 ls dizzy and ecu. I am wondering what else i need?

integra front suspension b/c the b series axle spines wont fit in the orignal spindles.. i'd assume you have the b series ecu... you might want to bang in the frame on the driver side to have clearence for the alternator... if your car is still dual point injection you will need to convert that to muti port well if the wiring place is doing that for you but yet you will still need to convert the car... you have the shift linkage... think you will be set after what i have metioned..

i didn't here bout this, i got a friend that does swaps so he is the one doing it for me, and im pretty sure i dont need new suspensions, and the alt. clearance never heard about that. And what u mean by converting the car, ima get all the wire for it if thats wat u mean like ecu harness the dizzy, and the engine harness. And are u sure?

im pretty sure... maybe someone else should chime in on this to clearify me 100%... and i am 100% sure on the front suspension... at that time honda didnt have a b series engine for that car... as we all know they liked to make every so interchangable... but for this year there was no b series engines put in these cars... the 96 and up civics you can use the same suspension and i think same goes for the 92-95 civics..

yep he's write, you need Si hubs. i think Dx may work too but i can't recall. Std was the only model that had different hubs.

i think it goes for the dx also... if i were you i'd go with the integra suspension b/c then you know your safe and its a bigger front rotor and hey everyone is after more stopping power you my as well grab the rear trailing arm setup if you can and get the integra porportion valve which would be located on the passanger side kinda below the fuse box... its for 70/ 30 braking for the disc... and with the harness thats inside the car im sure you need to do something to it to make it a complete obd2 car... like the plug that comes through your firewall i think that needs to be changed...

im not entirely sure... for the 92-95 civics i know that year for the del sols they had a b series engine (select few) and the suspension on them are the same for the 96- to what ever year it is... 2000... and i know for that year you dont have to switch the suspension.. b/c of the CTR... but for 92-95 im not entirely sure but i think you'd be alright... i would just try getting a b series axel and try putting it in that will give you your answer..

im still confused? So what parts do i need for this. I got some good stuff done to my suspension like skunk2 coilovers with skunk2 camber kit. So that will all go to waste?

no it wont go to waste... the civic and integra stuff is all interchangeable... so what you have done to the hatch can apply to a integra... really all you need is the suspension integra end where the 32mm bolt would go for your axels the knuckle... but its just easier to get a full integra suspension and slap it on... do you have like energy suspension bushings and stuff done to the civic b/c if so its defently worth just getting the knuckle and taking your civic suspension all apart to have that knuckle apply

the B series axles will work fine.....dont need to change out the suspension. its only the '88 down that needs to be changed... ive done a 89, 90, and a 91.....never had to change the suspension, never even heard of anyone changing it out.

yea the 88 are practicly the same...but they're just a little bit different..but im just saying this because i've never had to change out the suspension before, or even heard of it being done, except for the 88 down. And ive done 3 B series swaps in EF chassis
89 crx with a LS
90 civic 4dr LX with a b16
91 civic si with a gsr (now K20)
Im not tryin to challenge you or anything, im just tryin to help the guy out, and besides...they easiest way to settle this, (stated by 90teg91hatch before) is to just take the B series axles and put them into the spindle, either it fits or it doesnt,,,......GOOD luck with your build man...

Don't forget to cut the hood support or cut the valve cover over the cam gears.

I have a 91 STD hatch with a ODB1 LS swap. I have 90-93 integra axles with a 91 integra cable tranny. You HAVE to get new knuckles and hubs, I know from personal expereience. I also got screwed on ebay and bought "DX" hubs and knuckles and they sent me another pair of STD ones so be carefull. I was able to get CRX Si ones off here from someone and they worked perfectly. Also, I would recomened getting a 90-93 integra radiator if you dont want to have to adapt the different size inlet and outlets for the radiator hoses, it fit perfectly with the stock radiator mounts and fan. Plus, I know my hasport shift linkage did not come with a bushing so get yourself a bushing before you start the swap! Oh and another thing, do some research and get the right clutch that matches the tranny NOT the motor, the Pressure plates and flywheels are all the same though. Let me know if you have any questions about the swap.
