It's a 5sp 95 Prelude. All other gears are fine and it goes into gear OK, just as soon as I pop the clutch, it jumps right out. I have even tried to hold the thing in gear while slowly popping the clutch, but it just grinds when I do that

Some people have said things like syncro-gone, whole tranny is shot ect...

Is this a complete rebuild I'm looking at or something which can be done with the tranny in the car or ???

Hmm I wanna be positive and say it could be something as small as an engine/trans mount cause Ive had that happen before, but those generation preludes are notorious for tranny issues like that.

 

when i had my motor swapped the mechanics didnt put fluid in the trans and i drove it for 1 hour and it kept popping out of 5th, are you sure there is sufficinet fluid in it,

ps all i did was put fluid in the trans and it ran great after that.
