make 03 accord sedan v6 automatic...a manual??
I just recently bought a 03 honda accord sedan v6 with the j30a4 in it. with the 5 speed automatic trans.. and the idea of makin it a manual crossed my mind. but i did some research and found that they didnt make an 03 v6 with a manual only for the four cylinders. and i also did alil research on the newer 06-07 accords which i geuss now have a v6 with a 6speed..? i dont know if anyone knows but i was wondering if you could jus oull off the 5speed auto and bolt the 6speed manual in... i know u would have to cut a hole in the bulk head for the clutch pedal.. but physically would it work..? and what else would i have to do to make it work??
I'm not sure how easy it would be to do it, but I'm sure it would work. Also, the Accord sedan v6 was never offered with a manual trans from 03-05, but in 06-07 they were. The coupes, however, were, and I have physical proof since I drove an 03 v6-6 speed coupe on Wednesday then bought an 05 v6-6 speed coupe today.
I know you can do it because someone on gen7accord.com did it and turbo'd his v6 which was thought to be impossible due to the cast headers.
I did a quick search for his topic, but couldn't find it. You can join and ask him, his name is NVA-AV6, he has a wealth of knowledge about the j30.
Hope this helps.

NVA-AV6 is also on v6performance.net. As far as I know, you can get those weird turbo setups that run off of exhaust by the rear of the car, instead of right off the manifold.
thanks guys i appreciate ur help. now i jus gotta go talk to that guys and maybe he can somewhat tell me what i need in order to do it and how to do it.
