Default Help with oil

Hey,
I have a 95 Nighthawk and i recently added some 10W-40 (used before as well) only this time i added some Repsol. Immediately after the clutch stopped to slip at high rpm and off the line (it had before since im about to replace the clutch plates) but now it seems to be slower. The RPMs do not go as high while at high speeds and it seems to accelorate slower as well.

Is there a break-in period? should i have not put this oil in? should i replace it?

Thanks,
-Mark

Did you put in the recommended amount of oil?

I believe so. Would this matter on how high or low it is? If anything, it would be to high.
