Zaino Wax?
its been a year now and i havent waxed my car yet. iv heard only good things about zaino wax, and im thinking about getting a bottle. What is everyones opinoins on this wax? pics would be great. I'm thinking all i need is the Z-2, iv got 2001 paint in fairly good condition.
As a Zaino Zombie, Zaino is the best product IMO. The only downside is cost $$$$, and the time it takes. First off, Zaino is not a wax.
Zaino is great if you skip a few steps. If you do it the right way, you too will become a Zaino Zombie.
I recommend Clay, Z1, Z2, and Z6. You can buy other brand Clay, like Mothers.
If clay is too much, then use at least a pre-wax cleaner before Z1. Zaino has NO cleaners at all.
And DON'T use too much polish. Rather, go several layers and let each coat dry and set. Some guys wait 24hrs, but that's too extreme. Do what you can given the time and space allowed.
I'm not a big fan of their towel and soap requirements. So you can save a bit there with your own towel, clean old cotton T-shirt and what ever dish washing liquid you got.
Lastly, some Honda products are painted with crappy watercolor - U.S. made Civics. So the results will not be as good compare to others. But still, you should be very happy with the product and even become a Zombie.

I've been using Zaino for about a year and a half. Everyone says it costs a lot, but it really doesn't when you consider how long it lasts and how little you use at each session. I'm just now getting to the end of my first bottle of Z2. I'd recommend Z1, Z2, Z5, and Z6. Either, the Zaino or Mothers clay bar will work fine. Here are some pics to give you an idea of what Zaino can do.

wow that is really really clean
the last pic looks like you were taking a picture of someone taking a picture...i use meguires.. its easy to apply and east to take off i tried mothers caranuba wax and talk about hard to get off...

wow great pictures. would it be okay if i only used the Z-2? i dont wanna spend to much. it adds up quickly. i dont really need the swirl remover, my car is silver and swirls are next to impossible to notice on it
I'd say to start with the Z1 and Z2, and then build from there ... add more products as you need/want them. The Z1 helps the polish (Z2 and Z5) bond to the car's surface, so it's highly recommended. You can get info on all the Zaino products on their website. http://www.zainobros.com
Car care is a lot of personal preference. What one person likes, someone else may not. Try different products and use what works for you. If you've got any other questions, feel free to ask.

would there be any harm in my just using Z-2?
If you are really on a budget, I would go down to:
1. Any brand pre-wax cleaner: To strip everything clean.
2. Z1: Because it's the base that make the polish stick.
3. Z2: Polish: And to build layers.
The best feature of Zaino is it's reflective properties. But to get good results, it's important to follow every detail, or as much as possible. It does make a difference.

ok ill get Z-1 and Z-2, for the pre-cleaner they said i can use dish washing soap. is that ok?
You can pick up a pre-wax cleaner for less then the price of lunch at Wal-Mart or other parts stores. Adding this is not in Zaino's instruction (because it counter the Z5 as a scratch cover upper), but recommended by this Zaino Zombie!

We are spliting hairs here. In summary, it doesn't really matter unless you are a Zaino Zombie like me.
