Default Harness question

Where can I pick up an engine harness for a VX (d15z1 with 5 wire LAF)? I got mine shipped in and the harness got shredded by the tiedown straps on the pallet. I have a 92 LX so I'm prewired for VTEC from the computer out but I need to replace the harness from the plugs forward.... Anywhere I can get these new, or do I have to go hunting?

So you just need an engine harness, and you're asking where to get one correct..??

I say try salvage yards first, I get great deals at salvage yards compared to 'net prices. I got my wiring from LowCashRacing (exist still?) for my B16A and it's compatable with the Z1 IIRC (please tell me if I'm wrong people).

Also, you should look into filling a claim on the damages of your shipped engine. As a consumer you shouldn't bend over and take it up the ***, the delivery company fvcked up you're shipment and are liable for all damages - speak up.

Correct 1CaM0nDeR

and believe me I'm not one to just lay down and take it from someone like that. I already filed a claim and am in the process of (hopefully) getting reimbursed for the harness and whatever sensors were damaged. The problem is that it may not have been damaged from between the company I bought it from and myself, it may have been damaged coming from japan, if thats the case I'll take the hit on the harness, only because I got such a good deal on the engine and trans from this company that I won't split hairs on something that small. They (shipping company) aren't going to track one down for me (nor would I want them to because they wouldn't know their head from their *** in this situation) so I have to locate one myself. If I can get a new one out of the deal I would like to, instead of a junkyard one, thats why I'm looking to find a company who makes them.

Honda makes great wiring. Don't be affraid of using a salvage yard wiring harness after inspection. Done it plenty of times.

Did you get a special price on ur Z1 or did you buy it from a wholesaler of JDM engines..?? If so, which one did you buy from..?? I know a couple are pretty legit and will back you up on broken sensors and such but u might have issues tryna deal with a smaller engine importer..
