Default Need help with right size trottle body fof my SiR

Whats the best size trottle body to run on my ek4 SiR, i was told that a type r civic would be the best but im not to sure......can anyone help.....thanks

the best size throttle body to run on your sir i would recommend a integra type r 62mm

Yeah the engine is stock, but with a skunk2 intake and out take manifold, with a straight through on it to.....can i put any bigger than a teg type r 62mm on it for more gains.....and will i get and feel much more of a gain from it.....?

I'm honestly not sure how the plenum volume of the Skunk2 manifold compares to that of the stock manifold. If you know for a fact that it's significantly smaller, then you can use a 62mm throttle body. Otherwise, it's pointless.

You may feel more "power" with a larger throttle body, but it's just an illusion. You have a larger aperture compared to the stock throttle body at the same throttle position. If you want the same effect, replace the throttle rotor instead. You can also just push the throttle down further.

I just realized that I posted the opposite of what I was thinking, and it's just been corrected (see previous post). I don't know why it took me 3 days to realize this....


larger plenum, smaller throttle body
smaller plenum, larger throttle body
