as soon as i start to pull off theres a hard knocking noise coming from the engine, it occurs mostly at low rpms and my check engine light is now flashing. i check the engine for oil and it was a bit low so i add some more hoping it was jus my valves tapping but i still hear knocking.. at this point im ready for the worst but any ideas?

 

If you have a knocking from the motor when first load is applied to the motor I would take it to somone that has a "experienced" ear and let them look at is right away along with pull the DTC's.

I would not drive the car and if you have too be very easy on it.
