Default F20B in Ef

How difficult would it be to install an F20B in an EF. Has anyone done it before? Cause im looking in to it and I want to know around how much it would cost to install it?

Thanks

I always wanted to do one, but it looks expensive for what it is.

The blue valve cover dosen't make it fit any easier.

Externally theres no difference between the H22A vs F20B. Search (for anything related to F or H series in an EF) and you'll find all the info you could ever possibly need.

In my opinion; only D-series belong in our 1900lb FWD cars

There's no other info needed; it's the same as a H22A swap. If you're searching for a write-up; just look up H22 into EF.

Here's a good question... does the f20b suffer from the same problems that the h22a head has? IE ridiculous rocker pad wear and the few other issues that have arisen with h22a heads?

IMHO, the D series should be in all models except the Si. The B16 was made solely for that car.

I'm not a fan of the cable shifted transmissions or their gear ratio's so if it was any other forum I would suggest H2B. But since this is a 4th gen forum, I'd say just go B series.

H/F mounts are expensive too

Seeing as how you're pretty familiar with the H/F, do you know the answer to...

The heads are pretty much identical, but I haven't seen read or seen enough from the F20B to know if they suffer the same fate or not.

Intriguing. It doesn't seem like its dime-a-dozen enough like an h22a to have alot of view on exh. rocker pad wear.
