The S and SI's dont have VTEC on the engine correcT?

 

no they dont i believe that the si is a d16 single cam vtec and s im not sure del sol vtec is the dohc

 

S = sohc
Si = sohc vtec
VTEC = dohc vtec

I cant remember if it said DOHC or SOHC on the Del Sol I am getting!!!!!!!

is 5500$ to much for a 44k orig mile, perfect cond SI????

DAMN IT, I thought only the VTEC would say VTEC on it....

 

woudl that also explain why there isnt a VTEC sticker on the back? and just just sayz Del Sol (just del sol nothing else)

 

The Si also has a VTEC stamp on the valve cover, redline should be around 7200, it should be easy to tell if it’s a DOHC or SOHC. 5500 is a good price esp since its only got 44k miles on it.

 

just look around a bit more maybe youll find a del sol vtec

 

Well we already put 500$ down on the car, so if we decide not to go with it we loose that 500$, which we cant do

I am still getting it today, and it was fun to drive when I test drove it....
soooooo........... ohh wellz.

 

Well, if it an SI, it's already wired for VTEC = easy engine swap...

Look at the engine code. Only the del Sol VTECs had the DOHC VTEC sticker. D16Z6 is an Si (SOHC VTEC) while B16A2 or A3 is a del Sol VTEC.

shoot, you can't find those anywhere by me...i'd kill to be able to pay 5500 for that car
