Default Alternative to Rebuild?

Swapped out a smoking d16a for a zc

the d16a was burning oil

zc is doin the same thing(not as worse though)

Besides rebuilding is there any simple solution to stop it from burning oil?

Default Re: Alternative to Rebuild? (eraser)

it kinda depends on where the oil is getting into the cylinder. switch to a higher viscocity oil will help al the way around. if oil is leaking around your valve seals, you can get additives which will help swell the seals to provide a tight fit again.

you should think about getting a leakdown test done to find out where the oil is getting into the cylinder, it might be an easier fix.
