Default first gen honda prelude aftermarket parts?

I'm a 5th gen prelude owner and just yesterday i bought a first gen.. The first gen prelude is in pretty solid condition considering its age. Its a 1979 prelude, red interior, 5 speed, carburated, with 120k miles. The car runs great except for a small oil leak but i'm sure its just some gasket.

here a stock image back from its time.

the first gen prelude that i just bought is identical to the ones in the image except mine is a little more beat up.

I would really want to dump this car and put some rims on it. don't ask me why its just something I want to do. I have been searching for roughly a few days now but i can't find anyhting for this car.

Does anyone know how many miles to a gallon this car gets?

Thanks,

Andrew

good luck. there are barely any parts available for 3rd gens, let alone 1st.

Unless you can building most of them yourself, and/or swap that engine out for something more recent.

some dude on youtube has a b18 dropped in his 82 first gen. pretty darn cool. imean i'm not looking to making this thing go fast i just want a little oldschool cruzer. dumped and rims will probably be good enough for me.

It's going to have to be custom. Take a look at the suspension and see what all would need to be done. You can buy universal coilover sleeves and maybe make those work, or if that thing has leaf springs or torsion bars maybe you can change the mounts to lower it....who knows.

Air ride might be up your alley if you end up going custom. If you'll be fabricating parts, might as well add a 'cool' factor.
