this may sound like a stupid problem but on my 90 ef the hood latch(the actual latch under the honda emblem) gets stuck every time i try to pop the hood. it sucks cuz i pull on the cable, hear the pop, but go out and i gotta pull it up hard then release the lever to open it.

i know it just has to do with my hood alignment since i took it off recently to paint it and also removed the front bumper and everything attached. including the hood latch assembly on the frame.

anyone have this problem? or tips on how to adjust?

either loosen the hood latch mechanism on the t-bar (3 10mm bolts) or the one on the hood (4 10mm bolts) Only do one not both.

When i did my I did the one that was on the T-bar and kept them finger tight and lowered the hood to meet the mechanism then once it aligned itself. I opened the hood and did the bolts up. I never fully closed the hood just basically used the point of latch assy to align the mechanism.
